In this ongoing project, I explore the visual side of fictional products and creations that are still being developed.

The following images visualize a window that generates hydrogen-based energy by a photosystem solution extracted from waste vegetables. This product can generate electrical energy for up to 40 days, and also functions as an architectural element that casts the leaf’s natural color, creating spaces bated with natural green light.

This visualization was based on the paper “Design of an Architectural Element Generating Hydrogen Energy by Photosynthesis — Model Case of the Roof and Window” written by Hinako Kawakami and Yasumitso Matsuo. For more details about the actual research behind the product, I highly recommend checking their paper, which is available online.
